ERIE COUNTY FIRE and EMS

This scanner is located in Lake City, Pa, approximately 15 miles SW of the City of Erie, Pa.  Scanning equipment consist of a Uniden Bearcat BCD536HP Scanner and current antennas are a Tram 1410 Discone at 40’ and 13 element vertical yagi at 70’..

Erie County has updated their 911 Communications equipment  to a new P25 Phase II Digital Trunked System .  Only Scanners with this new technology will be able to receive these departments.  In trying to keep ahead of this situation I have made a significant investment in new radios and antennas.

Some of the Agencies currently programmed in the scanner are:

County Wide Fire and EMS Communications

City of Erie Fire Dept

Millcreek Fire

Emergycare Emergency Services

County Emergency Management/ HazMat

Erie Airport Fire and Maintainance

Conneaut Fire Dept..   mutual aid to West County

Erie County Skywarn   ( Amateur Radio Severe Weather Network) "Available when activated" This Ham Radio Communications network collects severe weather reports and passes the information to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland , Ohio which in turn issues watches and warnings for Erie County and the surrounding areas.   The 3 Main Repeater frequencies of operations are
