This feed is located on the north side of Chicago and primarily covers the east ends of Metra/CPKC's Elgin and C&M Subdivisions. Metra commuter trains, Amtrak, and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) freight operations can be heard. Radio reception of dispatcher towers is best, though some locomotive/cab car radios can be heard especially on the C&M Subdivision. We can sometimes hear dispatcher traffic on the CPKC Chicago Sub, depending on weather conditions. From time to time, I also experiment with adding other local railroad frequencies to the stream as well; these will be noted in the secondary description and notes.
