When using the Scanner Radio app (click here to download) on my smartphone I find the following equalizer and amplifier settings work best for this feed. Your mileage may vary as there are multiple variables to consider.
Scanner: Uniden BC125AT
Antenna: Diamond D130NJ Super Discone
I also receive full disk earth images from the GEO-KOMPSAT-2A satellite. I receive these approximately every 10 minutes and upload them here. These images provide an excellent, almost realtime overview of current weather conditions in Australia, South-East Asia, and the South Pacific. If you have the page open in a web browser it will check for an updated image every five minutes.
Equipment Used to Receive Satellite Images
Software-defined radio (SDR): Nooelec NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR
Amplifier/Filter: Nooelec SAWbird GOES Ultra-Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) & SAW Filter
Antenna: 20dBi 1800MHz Parabolic Grid Antenna
I welcome feedback and questions regarding this audio feed and/or the full disk earth satellite images. Please feel free to make contact.
