Orange County ARES/RACES (OC ARES/RACES)
The main goal is to enhance radio communication for emergencies and public services in Orange County, New York. OC ARES/RACES is the leading auxiliary communication team in Orange County. It partners with Orange County Emergency Management, local municipalities, and various public service agencies to provide operational support during natural disasters, severe weather conditions, and county-sponsored community events. OC ARES/RACES provides communication for public service events at 10K races, triathlons, county-wide training events, and the annual New York Air Show in Montgomery, New York. The organization also administers the SKYWARN Spotter Network for Orange County.
